Annapolis, MD Wedding : Laura + Dan

Laura and Dan met in high school, but were totally opposites.  Dan was the wildly fun and outgoing one.  Laura was the super athletic and studious type.  While they never officially dated, there was a true and mutual adoration between then.  After high school they went their separate ways, Laura to Duke, and Dan to Salisbury.  By chance, Dan was invited over to dinner one night while they were home on break.  That dinner led to many phone calls, dates, and other amazing moments.  They share a sense of humor, they’re patient with each other, and Dan always knows how to make Laura smile.

Laura and Dan…you’re the best! Thank you for welcoming me like an old friend and allowing me to capture your love.  And your friends.  And your family.  And everything in between! Despite the sudden change in weather, your wedding was amazing and I was honored to be a small part of the day.

It’s a….

So much has happened in the Underwood house over the past two years.  New home, new school, new friends, new everything!  Now, a newborn!  Shawna and I announced to our parents on Thanksgiving evening that we were expecting a new baby.  We decided to keep the sex of the baby a secret!  Shawna (per usual) planned a great little shindig for our parents and grandmother so that we could officially announce exactly what we were having!  I’m shocked I kept it a secret as long as I did!  I am TERRIBLE at keeping secrets!  So what are we having?!?!?  Guess!

It’s a BOY!  Chase Hudson Underwood is scheduled to arrive on July 30, 2013.  I think he’s coming early though!  Stay tuned!

Alexandria, VA Wedding : Kimberly + Jeff

Kimberly and Jeff had an absolutely gorgeous wedding at River Farm, and pieced together a perfect day…even the temperamental autumn DC weather cooperated with us!  They’re two of the most amazing, and beautiful souls I could work with.  The day was filled with love, joy, and happiness and I am thankful to simply stand back and document the day as it unfolded…Kimberly and Jeff, thank you for the distinct honor of being your wedding photographer. It was a joy working with you both and I have no doubt life is going to be even sweeter for the both of you.  Without further ado, here are a few favorite wedding pictures from Kimberly and Jeff’s fabulous wedding day.

Washington, DC Wedding : Maria + Jose

A common theme throughout the day: They were meant to be. They found each other through Facebook after Maria noticed they had several of the same friends.  After exchanging messages, they’re paths intersected and as life ushered them into a new arena on a gorgeous day in DC.  All this, after Jose proposed at the White House a few weeks before Christmas.  Man…. what a guy!  Maria and Jose, your wedding day was perfect and everything a marriage should be about: Love, Joy, and Contentment. Thank you for the honor of commemorating your special day and I know it’s merely the start to something even more fabulous than what you have now.

Rosie - Such great pictures!! Thank you for sharing their adventure with us! Congrats again!May 7, 2013 – 6:11 am

SNOW DAY!!!

Hi everyone!  It finally happened!  FINALLY!  SNOW!  DC was finally blessed with a little wintery precipitation last weekend.  While it wasn’t quite enough to REALLY make things exciting outside, it was still wonderful to head out and enjoy the white stuff before it all melted the next day.  Preston had the day off from school, so that made things a lot more fun!  We all quickly ran outside and enjoyed it as much as possible!  Within two days, it was all gone…. ALL GONE!  As quickly as it fell, it melted.  Anyway, enjoy!
